Asked Questions
1.
Can I use stuff I make in Magic FPS in commercial products?
Yes.
Not only can you use them in commercial products, but you can use them in
commercial segment / model packs. That's right, make your own models, import
them in Magic FPS or make them in Magic FPS from scratch and sell them as
your own work, because they are your own work.
You
just can't sell or distribute Magic FPS itself without permission from the
author.
2. If there's
an update do I get it for free or do I have to spend more money?
Updates to
the program are always free, though I may sell "object packs"
later on. The great thing about Magic FPS object packs is that unlike other
object packs they are completely customizable scale and texture wise. In
effect each object can be a whole range of things.
4. How
do I use the new BOX object
Select "Import
x Object" then select the box2.x object from your Magic FPS/objects
folder. In the Magic FPS/Textures directory there's a folder called boxobjects
with a template and some example box textures. Pick one of these to see
the box option in action.
4. I want
Magic FPS for free can I make a deal for something I have?
Maybe. I like
to trade for good model packs and the like. I probably am not interested
in things like help with my website / documentation or things I already
have done myself, but go ahead and ask it never hurts.
I AM interested in somebody who can help me with models/levels for a scifi
game I'm working on.
5. Why
should I get this product when there are free things out there that do the
same thing.
Nothing quite
does what Magic FPS does. Go ahead and get the free programs too, but you'll
find MFPS comes with more objects and features than most any other FPSC
content making utility and it's easier to use than anything I've tried so
far.
